This Modern Slavery Statement is made by Waste Disposal Soho in relation to our operations and supply chains. It sets out the steps we take to prevent modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and exploitation in our business and among those who supply us with products and services.

We expect suppliers and contractors to uphold standards equivalent to our own. Before entering into or renewing relationships, we assess modern slavery risks by reviewing the nature of services provided, geographical location, labour practices and any available ethical certifications or audit reports. Our standard contractual terms require suppliers to comply with applicable labour, employment and human rights laws and to prohibit the use of forced, bonded or trafficked labour. We reserve the right to conduct audits, site visits and document checks where we consider the risk to be higher. These audits may include interviews with workers, review of payroll and working hours records, and verification of recruitment practices. If shortcomings are identified, we will work with the supplier on corrective action plans with clear time frames. Failure to implement improvements may lead to contract termination.

Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing

Everyone connected with Waste Disposal Soho, including employees, agency workers, contractors and suppliers, is encouraged to report any suspicion or evidence of modern slavery. Concerns can be raised directly with line managers, the HR team or a designated compliance contact. Monitoring, Annual Review and Continuous Improvement

We are committed to continuous improvement in our approach to tackling modern slavery. Our modern slavery controls, incident reports, training records and supplier assessments are monitored throughout the year. At least once annually, senior management conducts a formal review of this Statement and our related policies and procedures. The review considers changes in legislation, sector guidance, risk assessments and any issues raised through audits or whistleblowing channels. Where needed, we update our processes, strengthen contractual requirements and refine our training.
